Dan,
I did NO damage to the spars, But I removed them to replace them,

I replaced my spars for the few reasons
1/ R wing spar was warped Rear wards) and slightly twisted.
2/ R wing skin leading edge was 1" inch shorter from the spar to the leading
edge., than the L wing
3/ wing ribs were very poorly cut out and seemed to be shaped incorrectly.

I was told that the V/E with not cure Fully in the presence of Epoxy fumes,
wet or dry. ( I'm sure about epoxy that has been cured for some time)
I Fitted the 48" ply rib to the spar ends with V/E as per Dan Diehl
instructions and video, and had epoxy on the ply rib to seal it, and left a
clean gap for the V/E, but i could not get to them to dry fully, it always
stayed very tacky to touch, so I removed it, as it did not slick anyway and
then used T88 on the ends of the spars and the ply rib.
