I just got my Newsletter back issues. Found some interesting items that are interesting because I am noticing some issues in my aileron pushrod areas that I needed to follow up on. Maybe due to the errors in the plans.
One of the old issues, mentions adding a 1/8" by 1/4" o.d. bushing between the aileron pushrod and the belcrank. Another (Nov'83) mentions an error in Drawing #71. I need to head out to the airport and review my plans. The error in drawing #71 impacts how much aileron down travel you have. I think my down travel is OK, but the error would also impact the pushrod geometry a bit, which is what I want to look at. I started getting the newsletter in '88, and didn't bother to get the back issues until now. So I would recommend anyone who hasn't gotten the back issues to check into it. My plans are dated '86 (I think), so they drawing may have been updated, but I'm going to check it, and also consider the 1/8" pushrod bushing idea... (to prevent binding). There is also a mention of putting a washer on the outside in case the pushrod fails, you don't loose all flight control. -- Ross http://n541ry.us -- ____________________________________________ http://www.operamail.com Get OperaMail Premium today - USD 29.99/year Powered by Outblaze
