Somewhere buried in that long winded post I just put out I put a couple things that may need to be extracted for easy reference:-) The unit comes from http://www.dynonavionics.com As for beer, you decide:-) it replaces the attitude indicator, altimeter, airspeed indicator, VSI, DG, compass, voltmeter, turn coordinator and skid ball. It also provides an extremely useful angle of attack bar, g-meter, clock and timer. Price all that stuff out, weigh it and then compare it to my 1.75 lb. single unit with internal backup battery and external magnetometer for $2261.79 delivered. I know you don't need all those instruments in a KR but if you could have them all with plenty of panel space, great accuracy and with absolutely no weight penalty.........................would you??
