Darren,

When replacing rings, you should hone the cylinders.  Then you could just
run the engine for a while.  You don't have to be flying it.  I just think
that you don't want to go full power for a while and start blowing oil by
the rings.  Do you have a manual for that engine?  It should give you all
those specifications.  A compression test should tell you if they are seated
or not.

Can any one tell me what the limit is for the CHT on a Continental A65

Also. looking for some suggestion on how to brake in new rings. I replaced
rings on one side of the engine (two pistons). The local EAA guy are
