Good point. If you have Diehl gear and the lower bracket is "cast Alum", get rid of it. Dan recommended back then that the airplane not be flown until the lower brackets were replaced. The replacement Diehl lower brackets are made from 1/4" 4130 steel ,are 2 1/2" wide by X? tall with gussets added. Larry Flesner
