I've got the Diehl variety landing gear and it works very well,.With the one piece designs I would think you'd need to fair in the cross section under the aircraft. I do agree that wheel alignment will be easier since most of the work is completed coming out of the box since both side will be in alignment. With the Diehl design I couldn't believe how they wanted to route the cables around the gear legs, if anything seemed unsafe that was it. I went directly through the gear legs and thus no bends.
