Russ/Mark,
Just for added information: Diehl Aero-Nautical recalled lower axle casings
in late '92, early '93 due to failures on landing. All were replaced at no
charge w/a new design. Some projects had been sold and Diehl couldn't contact
the new owners for lack of info, perhaps resulting in failures once they were
flown. This was on FIXED landing gear. At the same time they recalled the tri
gear nosewheel to attach the self-centering spring device (which mine has) to
prevent shimmy on touchdown, also at no charge.

The recall was noted in Jan 93 Sport Aviation under Aviation News.
