I am trying to install a diehl main gear in place of the conventional retract gear on my kr2. My question is do i need to replace all the foam I have been digging out of the stub wing to get the Diehl gear in place and squared up. Also did anyone just use little washers on there bolts or did you fab some kind of plate to distribute the pressure exerted on the gear over a larger surface area on the spar.
