I'm thinking your prop manufacturer has suffered a prop strike to get
those numbers. If my math is correct, and prop 100% efficient, you
would need to have a 90 inch pitch prop to achieve those numbers at
that rpm. And on the D-Motor, rule of thumb is 1/2 pound of fuel per
horsepower per hour. 2.5 gallon X 6 ppg=15X2 =30hp. A claim of 88 hp
at that fuel burn is a 300 percent improvement in efficiently over my
0-200. What's their secret. Let the buyer beware. A local flyer
has a Sonex Y-X or whatever that model is called with the V tail. He
is running a Jabaru 120 hp, 6 cylinder, don't know what prop he has,
but my KR with 0-200 turning a Sterba 60X64 will out run him with not
much effort.
