Halotron is the new "enviro-friendly" non-CFC Halon replacement. Like Halon, it is designed to interrupt the chemical process of burning rather than displacing the O2 out of the air, which is what makes it human safe. The halon that is available is also considered to be enviro-friendly. Since there is no "safe" way to dispose of Halon, all halon is recycled until it is eventually released, hopefully doing what it is designed to do. -Jeff Scott
