thanks for the clarification.  in that case I would welcome the AOPA info to 
help improve the self-certifying aspect of flying.
as to the larger issue, it seems sport pilot priveleges have resulted in no 
increase is issues, and in fact, may have REDUCED issues because pilots under 
that regime are more likely to address possible medical issues with their 
doctor.
