I thought I'd chime in on this one. I also am a past president of an EAA
chapter here in Ohio and found that it is true, you get out of it what you
put into it. However, I also have come to an opinion that EAA, or at least
a lot of its chapters, have become more AOPA. There is very little E in
most EAA chapters these days. At least that is what I have been finding and
is only my opinion. When trying to put some "E"-experimental, back into
our meetings it appeared that the majority of the members were not
interested and couldn't wait to get back on the subject of Young Eagles,
the next Pancake Breakfast or who is going to bring the buns to the next
meeting for the burgers. I know for fact there are several builders in my
chapter who never attend meetings for exactly that reason, there is no more
(E)experimental in the meetings.
OK enough of that, now does anyone have a tail wheel assembly for sale
cheap!!!
