My KR is stretched 24 inches over a standard KR, all to the rear. A few more inches forward of the spar would be nice and would work nicely on my KR with an 0-200 on a HAPI VW mount on one inch spacers at the firewall. Mount your rudder pedals to the top firewall box to eliminate floor obstructions. Something else I did, and I'm taking this from memory, was to raise the instrument panel station 1 3/4 inches above firewall height and held the bottom of the instrument panel to the top side of the top longeron. You can see the upsweep on my forward deck in the photo. It looks curved but is actually a straight line from the firewall to the instrument panel. Flaring in the windshield gives it a curved look. I continued my canopy vertically from the top longeron about 7 or 8 inches before rounding over the top. On a solo cross country I stretch my legs out between the pedals to the firewall and I'm quite comfortable. http://www.krnet.org/krs/lflesner/101009203m.jpg Larry Flesner
