If we take the case of Yahoo Protocol they have their own address book on the
server which can be completely different to your address book in your computer.

Do you want us to add all the addresses in your address book to the server
side of Yahoo (Maybe you have a private yahoo YM. and a Business YM.) So do we
add to both when they are logged on?

I think myself that both should be kept separate, for the reason above.

Many questions and many reasons not to sync, for some syncing maybe the best
method, For myself I like to keep most people not knowing my YM address as it
would be more of an annoyance during work..

Regards Michael Cole.

If you can suggest better ways to do this i would love to hear them and see if
we can make a better service.
