Thank you but I figured the problem out. The evdi module was indeed the problem and removing it allowed the upgrade to run to completion. The evdi module was necessary to run DisplayLink which I no longer use and am, therefore, not concerned about getting it to work. Again, all is good now. Thanks for your assist.
