Yes. To clarify, others, for instance David Johnson, already tried compiling 
the Qt4 ports with -no-sm removed and running Qt4 apps, from ports, compiled 
against that Qt under KDE3 and didn't get any crashes. 

To recap: Good ports to test are editors/texmaker or audio/last.fm - these 
will always crash for me. For mysterious reasons, the Qt4 demos (from 
misc/qt4-qtdemo) all work fine though.
