Efe Erdoğru <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #29 from Efe Erdoğru <[email protected]> --- I can confirm a very similar regression on CachyOS with KDE Plasma 6.8.1 and an Intel/NVIDIA hybrid-GPU setup. Hardware: - HP Victus 16, Intel Iris Xe + NVIDIA RTX 3060 Laptop GPU - Internal laptop display connected to Intel iGPU (unaffected) - Two external displays connected to NVIDIA (both affected) - NVIDIA driver: 615.78.08 - Mesa: 26.2.4 - KDE Wayland After the October 22 system update, both external displays showed severe visual corruption, horizontal artifacts, and ghosting when moving windows or interacting with Dolphin menus. Screenshots looked normal, but the corruption was clearly visible on the physical monitors. The issue persisted with both the regular CachyOS kernel (7.3.0) and the LTS kernel (6.18.55). **Unlike comment #28, both `vulkan-intel` and `lib32-vulkan-intel` were already installed (version 26.2.4), and the Intel GPU was detected as a working Vulkan device.** I restored the Btrfs snapshot taken immediately before the update. The system is now completely stable with: - KWin 6.8.0-1.1 - Plasma Desktop 6.8.0-1.1 - Kernel 7.2.11-1-cachyos - NVIDIA userspace driver 615.78.08-2 The problematic update included KWin 6.8.0 → 6.8.1, along with other Plasma, kernel, and firmware updates. Mesa and NVIDIA userspace packages were not updated in that transaction. This looks closely related to the issue reported here, particularly comment #28, but the missing Intel Vulkan driver explanation does not apply to my system. Could this be a remaining regression in the multi-GPU rendering or buffer-sharing path? I can provide the full pacman transaction log and a video recorded directly from the affected monitor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
