I don't know why this happens, either, but this is from a crash dump after
upgrading to 6.28.1, I verified the kimg_heif.so has a valid change date on
disk:

The only source I have for constantly crashing images are my Galaxy S25U main
camera lens 200MP photos. But they all, obviously, exceed the upload limit of
4MB. I uploaded one here, the download link is only valid for 3 days:
