Hi, I think I found it. For making Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work in OpenJUMP I must release the keys in correct order. When I carefully release the keys "release C, then release Ctrl" and "release V, then release Ctrl" copy/paste works. For example the paste thing happens when I release the V key. In all the other programs I tried (Word, TextPad, Notepad++, Notepad, WordPad) pasting happens when I press the "V" key down.
I must have gained rather a strong routine in how I release the Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V keys after having done it quite a many times during the last 20 years. Obviously I release the Ctrl key a millisecond before the other key. I bet that you release the buttons in another way and therefore it was so hard for us both to understand what happens. -Jukka- edgar soldin wrote: > > for screens like these it really helps (me) to switch OJ to english, if only > temporarily ;) it'll also provide you with the correct english menu item names > to post them. > > questions: > 1) do you have any clipboard software running? any special settings regarding > clipboard on your systems? > 2) when you copy the polygon shape, which window has the focus then? > 3) copying in the layerview should always create and write one or more wkt > strings of the copied geometries into clipboard. you can verify at any > moment by pating cliupboard into a texteditor, or wherever. does it do that > properly when copying different shapes from layerview repeatedly? > > ..ede > > > On 04.03.2013 12:01, Rahkonen Jukka wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I can reproduce but only with one computer (Windows Vista 32-bit, jre > > 1.6.0_27).
