Hi,

I think I have faced a bug or something in OpenJUMP with ecw images. Here is my
description about the case.

I had a few smallish image tiles in ecw format opened at the same time in my
project. Each image is 10000 by 10000 pixels in size, with 0.5 metre pixel
size. When panning around the area and digitising features I notised that
every now and then some image tile disappears. OpenJUMP informed about error
in image read. I tried to find out when the error occurs and now I can repeat
it in a controlled way even with one single image in my project.

The image read error happens every time when the image does not cover totally
the project window and you zoom in far enough at the image boundary. In my case
the scale limit is about 1:2000 (scale taken from the Show - Scale menu option.
If the scale denominator is bigger everything works OK, but if I zoom in a bit
more and the image is not covering the whole window then it just disappears.
The only way that I have found to make image visible again is to zoom out again
and open the image again from the disk. It does not matter if the no-image area
is on top, down, right, of left on the screen.

Right now I do not have images in other format than ecw available and I can't
say if the same error happens with other images as well. That would be easy to
test simply by opening some other format image and zooming were close at image
border.

Perhaps the error is trivial enough so it could be corrected before the next
official release?
