Menubar>Layer menu has 14 iems, and 4 are going to
disapear as they become obsolete thanks to Paul's Open
Plugin (Add<Datastore layer, Add MrSID layer, Add a
WMS query and Add Image Layer)
On the other hand Layer List menu has 27 items. Some
of them could be moved to Layer menu, like Larry's one
(Extract layers by geometry type and Extract layers in
fence) and Remove selected layers. Other tools are in
both menu (Cut, Copy layers). Maybe an order would
make the menu more fluid.
Other idea:
In the Edit menu the tool "Past Items" should be
duplicate also in the Layer View menu
