Thanks again John, re 1) my Path to exe in Service props is: D:\Jenkins\jenkins.exe [confirmed as valid] I included the non-comment content of my Jenkins.xml file in my initial post. There is only one arguments line. I believe that the path to Java (<executable>%BASE%\jre\bin\java</executable>) is the "out-of-the-box" value that points to the java included in the install [confirmed as v1.8.0_20] re 2) I don't see a conflict on 8080
D:\Jenkins>netstat -aon | findstr 8080 | findstr LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:8080 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 236 TCP [::]:8080 [::]:0 LISTENING 236 D:\Jenkins>tasklist | findstr 236 java.exe 236 Services 0 1,260,892 K I do appreciate the help. Any other ideas?
