Hi,
I'm experiencing problems updating to JDE-2.2.8 and ECB-1.50.
This is the first setup I tried:
* JDE 2.2.8
* ECB 1.50
* semantic 1.4beta10
* eieio 0.16
* speedbar 0.13a
With semantic 1.4beta10 it doesn't work at all (when activating
senator mode it sais, that the buffer hasn't been setup for parsing).
So I downgraded semantic to 1.4beta5 (recommented by the release
notes), in which case ECB1.50 doesn't work anymore (needs at least
beta7). Now I'm using semantic 1.4beta9 which both basically accept
(i.e. none of them complaints during startup).
I played a bit woth the versions and also tried the latest betas of
eieio and speedbar and several combinations of it, but nothing helped.
But I'm now still experiencing the following problems (as far as I
could see up to now):
* Font-Lock doesn't work anymore, it only highlights comments and
doesn't get activated automatically.
* Which-Method doesn't work, neither JDE nor ECB nor Speedbar parse it
correctly, actually neither of them parse it at all. But e.g. with
emacs-lisp files, ECB works just fine.
If I don't load JDE, font-lock works fine again (of course, Emacs then
uses java-mode), but I still can't see any methods in ECB or Speedbar.
If I use semantic1.4beta5 and comment out the loading of ECB, I've
still got the same problems with JDE.
Any ideas how to solve these problems? I'm using FSF Emacs 2.7.1 on
Linux.
TIA,
Raffi
