For me, It's A & C.  If there will be a 8.11.2 then fine; I'll help out (A).  
If not then fine as well (C).  I expect major changes in major releases, and 
needn't be notified of every last detail of such changes ;-).  Ideally the 
major-changes doc is true to its name -- the major changes.  If it's too long; 
people won't read it or will have trouble picking out what's interesting from 
what isn't.  Deprecation is a nice couertesy.  We could leave comments on the 
source code on where to find equivalents so we don't put minutia in the upgrade 
notes.  IMO the methods that were removed/moved are very unlikely to be used.  
If someone was actually using ZkStateReader... all bets are off -- that's very 
internal stuff!
