>Where is it you live? One can make more than that at MacDonalds >or at a comic book store where I live (Denver, USA). I live in Kitchener, Ontario. I feel fairly safe saying this, 'cause it's EXTREMELY likely that the only one from my workplace to ever read this will be Janice(: Not that my anonymity was every assured anyways(: I'm using my free internet account and email to send all of these(: >I'd try to make it suck for them sooner rather than later. Hmm. The thing is, I really LIKE paying off my school bills and debts. I'm definitely TRYING to get a new job somewhere, but my manager (the girl, not the nasty ex-manager) is really nice. However much I hate the company, I guess I'm afraid of finding a worse one elsewhere and then losing my job... I'm not skilled enough at hardware issues to be tech support, and I REALLY don't know enough about programming to move into Systems. (although, from what I've heard about tech support, they don't know much about much either. guess all the folks who had a clue decided to go work for more than $8.50/h with a better company :) What is up with me is that a year ago I didn't know standard input from a snack food... I've gone a LONG way, but I'm not quite there. I guess what I'm bitching about is the fact that I haven't been dealt any breaks. It seems that my getting 90s in UNIX and high 80s in programming in Community College doesn't mean doo-doo to them. That is what makes me bitter. *However* my manager is giving me hours that are 9-4 to allow me to continue my studies, and still pay bills at the same time. So, yes, the pay sucks, but the hours are great. *She* is the only reason I haven't told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine. When I finally finish my last course for my B.A. then I'll have a better chance at a good job. Until then I'll likely have to be satisfied with a good manager. (Oh, and nice co-workers... right Janice?:) Heh. Speaking of Janice... She's gotten together with a bunch of current and ex our-fav.-isp workers and is starting up a LUG. I'm really enjoying 'talking shop' :) She's also kinda informally in the local Linuxchix chapter that I'm trying to get started. (slowly, haltingly) Three cheers for Janice(: ~wirren _______________________________________________ issues mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.linux.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/issues
