does a theme not include a background image also?

my big pet peeve with themes is that they (often) cover the background
image intended to use with the theme, making it harder to know if i think
the theme would be cool or if i should just borrow the menu/icon styles
for use independently...

when a big ol' picture of a nekkid chick is on there, it is twice as
perturbing... it would be just as perturbing if there were a big ol'
picture of a nekkid man on there... when i'm looking at themes, i am not
looking for what cool porn some guy has, i am looking for how well they
put together the theme... putting a bunch of programs someone ELSE wrote
(in most cases) and then putting in them images/games/whatever that
someone else created detracts from the theme more than it adds to it

now maybe if they had shown their load average/cpu usage with all that
crap loading to be lower than 2... i would forgive them some ;o)

(note: the use of "guy" was as a gender-neutral "person" type
thing... guess i ned to get out of spanish mode (where a group of mixed
gender persons takes on the male gender as a group) )
