This avoids the symptoms without solving the problem. A lot of women DO
this.
But, to bring a point home, I'm a channel op on EFnet #scientology
(mostly critics fwiw) where there is a current flame war over a channel
regular who has been having net sex with an underage woman on channel (he
hits on everyone) and had been planning to meet her to carry it on IRL.
The guy in question is approximately 50. The woman in question is 15.
Today, another channel regular called the police so that her parents could
be notified.
There has been a huge flame war behind the scenes about what exactly we
should or should not do about it. This channel is one known for supporting
the ability to espouse unpopular opinions -- such as being a scientologist
-- and therefore has a history of free speech.
I for one don't wish to be charged with being an accessory to a felony! Or
involved in any possible civil suit that might be part of the fallout.

I don't think so. You know why?
My creep-o-meter just got an IMMENSE validation. I had considered the HNG
in question as creepy but essentially harmless. He's not.
How many OTHER guys who set off my creep-o-meter are dangerous? I have no
idea. But I'm going to listen to it much more closely in the future.
