Another fun feature of GPL, if that you make a program X in a company
A, and you are fired, you can continue working in X, like if you
where never heard of A. This means that if you invest 300 hours of
your life into X, that investment will be always with you, even if you
move. While if you invest your time in Propietary Engine Z, that cost
Y. Then you are screwed if your new company (or you) can't pay the
cost of Z.

If you get hired in a company to adapt ioQuake3 to some game, and it
is never finished, that expertise and man/hours are not wasted, are in
your programmer pockets. While if you are hired to work on say,
Gamebryo, then, ..well.
