The whole point of my argument is that I believe it is wrong to fill the language with clever functions which do nothing but save a few keystrokes for those developers who are too lazy to type out a few simple lines of userland code. Filling the language with such bloat has a detrimental effect on everybody who uses the language, and especially on the core developers who have to maintain that bloat.
You stop telling me that you don't like my opinion and I will stop telling you that I don't like your opinion.
