Fully independent and stand alone.
But why do we need more and more third party packages to make something that has been happily working for years continue to work? Just grab this that or the other because we can't be bothered to include this or that function these days ... It is bad enough that we have so many different 'enhanced bundles' and it would be nice to retain a base system that one can simply download in one hit. PEAR has a vast library of useful material that will all have to be tidied up to work with PHP7, but throwing awway the installer just becuse it's not getting as much care as other parts of the infrastructure is not the right approach. composer has not even managed to get added to some distributions yet ... it's not part of SUSE ... so one HAS to have an internet connection to be able to access it. I'm I going to have to start using pickle as well? I've not had any need for it so far ... -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk Rainbow Digital Media - http://rainbowdigitalmedia.co.uk -- PHP Internals - PHP Runtime Development Mailing List To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
