Maybe I'm out of the loop but I haven't seen this before,
possibly due to the high volume on the list currently.

But I must say the last behaviour is pretty surprising.
What is the limitation leading to this behaviour? How the parser works?

Moreover, this specific case (and maybe some other exotic ones)
isn't covered by a test case provided in the implementation.

As suggested by Dan I think closing the vote for now and amending
the implementation. Is the best way forward as we still have a long
time before feature freeze and it makes it clearer for what we are voting.

Best regards
