For those of you who have seen the debconf stuff, how about something like that?
Walk through menu of "do you want X enabled? do you want Y enabled?" which just stores as a string and excecutes `./configure {string value}`
do you remember the linux kernel times *before* we had menuconfig and xconfig? ;)
