Everything Oracle has stated to me (publically) said they will support
OpenSolaris although the commercial products are their main driving force (i.e.
Oracle Solaris and Oracle Enterprise Linux OSes).

OpenSolaris will live and be supported by its large fan base if nothing else -
so nothing to see here...move on....

"provides contractual support on the OpenSolaris OS for up to five years"

How one can read that as "Oracle don't support OpenSolaris" is, um, strange.

All that page states is Sun's planned support for OpenSolaris since the first
release a couple of years ago.
