The OpenSolaris page now says TBD as well for the end of 2009.06 GA - it gave concrete dates before assuming OpenSolaris would rigidly stick to a 6-month release schedule, so that 2009.06 would stop getting fixes when 2009.12 came out, but we didn't follow that schedule and the page now reflects that. The Solaris 10 page can't give concrete dates because Solaris doesn't have a rigid schedule for new releases, and like all Solaris releases, it will be supported until a date based on when the next release comes out, and when the next full (not update) release of Solaris comes out is not yet announced. Oracle VP's have made some press comments as well trying to clarify the misunderstandings people have had based on this: http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Linux-and-Open-Source/Oracle-Explains-Unclear-Message-About-OpenSolaris-444787/ -- -Alan Coopersmith- [email protected] Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
