Over on ZFS-Discuss we've uncovered some disturbing news:

Anyone know why they're randomly killing off OpenSolaris? Seriously?
Should I be looking for a new job now?
What do you read in this page that suggests that OpenSolaris is being
killed off, or that the support levels have in any way been changed?

Looks to me like that page was written just over 6 months ago, promising
6 months support at the GA level, 2+1/2 years at the EOV level (which is
where we are now) and 2 further years extended support. With a 6 month
release schedule, the expectation would be that there's a new release
coming out at the time GA support moves to the next phase, with a total of
5 years support. The only interesting thing is that the page I'm looking at
hasn't been updated to move 2009.06 out of the GA phase, which the
timetable says should have been done a couple of months back.

Such statements of expectations for support level over time apply to all
products as a matter of course.

If that's the case, is there also an eosl page for Solaris 10 ?

http://www.sun.com/service/eosl/eosl_solaris.html but Solaris 10 has not reached end of life so it has no dates.
