I just performed an image-update from b98 to b99. On reboot, the boot
process stops at a grub prompt, suggesting that my grub configuration
got wiped. How can I boot into my system to restore my grub
configuration (I'm not quite sure how I'd specify the root partition
on a system with ZFS)?

I just completed an image-update, and I have the same issue. I'll be
trying to work through it here and let you know if I can pass along a
solution.

Given that it's only been available for about 24 hours, two
instances of

what went wrong, I'd be glad to help.

FWIW, I've come across this as well with VirtualBox - but don't think
it's specific to build 99 necessarily. I've opened up a bug with the
current findings -

My upgrade from 98 to 99 went well on a Toshiba Tecra M2 and on Virtualbox 2.0.2.

What's with the new warning about pcplusmp mod remove message? :)
