The criteria for the current LiveCD which is targeted towards the desktop and potentially small servers is we're trying to include the drivers necessary to boot and install the contents of the CD on some target drive and allow the network to be used to install additional packages. Since it's desktop focused, this means generally all video, audio, USB, etc; from the networking side, we're including all redistributable network drivers; likewise from the storage side, we're including the redistributable storage drivers necessary to install bits on a target.
