Interesting, reading about "Booting From a 'an Alternate Disk in a Mirror ZFS root Pool" page 80 of the ZFS Administration Guide it refers to three bug ids 6697324, 6668666 and 6680633. As you said the documentation is being upgraded all the time. A suggestion would be during the install to read the latest document number if and when the bugs where fixed. Unless these bugs where suppose to go into the release documentation and should have been read beforehand. In any case it is interesting to see bug id's in administration guides.
