i feel what is achievable is the whole hog, not just making the OEMs eat crow.
recommending the govt to tax all software sold for a price.

you are correct, but are focussing on only *one* aspect of the problem. there 
are several aspects: even with software not OEM bundled. problems of 
anti-competitive behaviour, lack of consumer choice, lack of open standards, 
backdoors, invasion of privacy, the concept of 'treachorous computing' versus 
the hyped 'trusted computing'. blah blah blah. the list is almost endless.

imagine the many more hordes of people happy to have a choice, freedom, 
alternatives, opportunities, more innovative software, inheriting a world 
cultural heritage, ushering in a new more healthy value system, especially 
for the newer generations... so much more than i can mention here.

tarun, i urge you to consider the much larger picture.
free your mind. your software will follow.
