I know that this is for ppl in east delhi, but here in South Delhi (GK & C.R
Park area) We have Hotwire which imho is a very decent ISP for an average
home user. I pay around Rs. 1500 per month for a 64k/16k link with a real ip
that is set as a static IP on my machine. The backend bw was quite good when
I got the connection. Before they capped my connection, I could get around
1-2Mbps speeds (approx 50-100kilo bytes per second xfer rates). Nowadays I
can get 64k xfer speeds whenever I wan't. It works very nicely. The only
problems that I have faced have been bad/cluless helpdesk, who accused me of
having a virus when none existed, and a higher than average latency. Hotwire
is a division of Primus, and all the connections seem to go thru a satelite
gateway.
In case anyone from around here wants a decent net connection, then Hotwire
is a good option.

PS: No affiliation with hotwire, other than being a satisfied customer.
