hi, thas why i asked if he had a fat partition there..cos when ndd finds a fat partition ...the rest of the space he can make an ext2 partition and he can recover his data..even if the partition does not End where it orginially did..only thing matters is where the partition starts.. i have been saved a couple of times by ndd and i dunno abt ext2 but it did recover an ntfs partition saying it was a non dos partition.. so i think sumthing is better than (void *) NULL :D
