To be precise, their whole network consisting of 100+ clients are all connected on @#$$ hubs. So even if I am not using the net, i get 256kbps+ of peak traffic hitting my NIC card, sometimes causing my network card to complain saying "too much traffic". Too many levels of hubs (i have 3+ hubs between my machine and the edge router) causes terrible losses at peak times.
