Cool, Vike! As a matter of fact I have somewhat the same arrangement. The only difference is that my setup is a totally self-contained Perl file, which uses Perl-Expect to do exactly the same thing as you are doing. It even generates a CyberClient.conf file from the config that you put inside the script. My point of sending out my last mail was that several people had asked for such a client(launcher?) last time, which was stable and worked 24 hours a day. I wanted to pass along the script I have in hand. Why dont you create a howto using your method, and scripts.. and then put up for others to use? However, I am curious about the the svscan "run" file content that you are using for restarting. svscan didn't work for me last time, as the client kept on crashing as soon as it started. Also, are you running the client with the "-v" option(non-daemon)? I think that is the only way you would get the server messages. - Sandip -- -------------------------------------------------------- Sandip Bhattacharya sandipb <@> bigfoot.com http://www.sandipb.net GPG/PGP: 0x08EB637C -------------------------------------------------------- ================================================ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header.
