Please stop writing emails in CAPS. It hurts my eyes.

- (assuming that you are running redhat. Have no idea of any other
distrib)
- This is untested. Remember to take backup as in (1)
- As root obviously.

1. make a copy of your system hardware config.
   cp /etc/sysconfig/hwconf /etc/sysconfig/hwconf.backup

2. Remove, if any, reference to network cards in the system hardware
   config.
   a) open /etc/sysconfig/hwconf in an editor
   b) remove your pci network entry. This would normally be a section
      with class: NETWORK. For example, on my machine the class is
      given below.
      Remember not to disturb the format of the file. Each class has a
      '-' delimiter.
=======================================
-
class: NETWORK
bus: PCI
detached: 0
device: eth
driver: 8139too
desc: "Realtek|RTL-8139/8139C"
vendorId: 10ec
deviceId: 8139
subVendorId: 10ec
subDeviceId: 8139
pciType: 1
-
===================================

3. run kudzu.

In case of trouble, use the backup file to restore your config.
