Edit the file " /etc/fstab " and you might find a few lines written there already
Just add the put down the line as /dev/hdb1 /mnt/hdb1 VFAT defaults,rw 0,0 be sure to create a /mnt/hdb1 directory im sure the entry for the floppy drive would be there already so just stick the floppy in the drive and type at the command prompt mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy and it should work fine regards, Sauron the Dark Lord ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aadisht Khanna" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 7:59 PM Subject: [ilugd]: Newbie Hardware Problems- mounting disks > > Hello everyone. > > I'm running RHL 7.2 on a system with two HDs: 20 GB on hda with /boot and /, > and a 40 GB on hdb with a 30 GB FAT 32 (hdb1). > > How do I get hdb1 to mount on startup, no matter which user logs in? > And, could someone give me a reference on mounting floppy disks?
