Hi,
Shouldn't it be /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab. I just did the same in my PC a day back. I
tried to change to RH 7.2 from MDK 8.1. My sound card is Fortemedia 801 and
automatically gets configured during the Mandrake install as it uses the ALSA driver.
Also I found that for a novice like me and Aadisht Mandrake is a much better choice.
Aadisht switch to Mandrake and all your problems will be over. You can take the
Mandrake 8.1 CD from me if you want.
Bye
Krishna
