I personally feel people should not pose any problem in promoting software in this group
In fact the group members should encourage software if it is related to open-source and if any member of LUG is involved in it. How elese would people come to know about the scope of Linux ( after all Linux does not run by itself ,it is supported by a large no. of third party software ,be it free or paid) Moreover if Sudhir is trying to promote his product ,then i say let him do it . It aint harming anyone and what more he's giving away a 10k product for 1/100th of its original cost. This is a fine opportunity for LUG members to get their hands on an internationally acclaimed product which otherwise would become a little hard to procure.( for GOD SAKES the guys donating the money to LUG ) Anyway where is the meet being held this time. I have never been to a meet and i would very much like to talk to the active members of the group. regards, Sauron ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sudhir Gandotra" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2002 2:41 AM Subject: Re: [ilugd]: Free as in Freedom - Issue needs urgent decisions ! > Hello Amit, > > Since I was not trying to promote the software through this offer, that > does not remain an issue at all. > Let us discuss the offer, once the basic aspects are decided about > where/what-for the group is. > Jokes etc. are one thing and they are always acceptable.
