i've not much idea PPPoE other than it is used in DSL based setups. what exactly you 
want? you want people to dial-in into your server from anywhere (home/office etc.) 
using any client and connect to your local intranet / internet (after providing proper 
authentication)? as far as i understand you want an isp-based setup where users from 
any client are connecting to your server thru dialup. your server is connected to the 
internet. they are prompted for a username/password and after proper authentication 
they are connected?
if yes, then checkout the pcquest.com/linux article regarding setting up dial-in 
servers or something like that.
