MySQL uses the simplest and most straight forward thread controls. It has to
be faster ! Oracle should be slower!!
Oracle has probally 2000 extra things to protect oracle from crashing, and
its programs are much larger than MySQL, since it is supposed to support too
many things, and take care of them !
