The Apache HTTP Server Project is proud to announce the first GA release of Apache 2.0. Apache 2.0 has been running on the Apache.org website since December of 2000 and has proven to be very reliable.

Whatever happened to the old dictum, If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
If you need the new features, go ahead and upgrade (I do, so I will).
If you don't, just continue with 1.3.x until Apache either makes clear
that General Availabili! ty means production or makes a production
release available. Even then, don't upgrade unless there's some fatal
flaw in 1.3 which you can't live with.
